Become A Credible Brand
With Circumstances For Optimal Success
I used to think and entrepreneur was just someone who owned a business. I mean… they went to the county clerk, searched for their assumed name and paid the fee and…
Voila an entrepreneur is born.
Nope!! That’s NOT the way that works.
Yes, entrepreneurs ARE business owners, but they’ve also taken risks and become serious about evolving as a brand. Additionally, they’re willing to look beyond their current circumstances, be innovative and understand the value of failing. I believe this is what makes not just an entrepreneur, but a credible brand.
The willingness to operate your business beyond what you can see is a mindset. It’s what separates the shaft from the wheat, so to speak. There are so many occasions in business where you find yourself operating outside of the original scope of your business plan. This is why establishing a personal framework, a personal brand and ultimately circumstances for optimal success is so important to get and stay as prepared as you possibly can.
Preparation is key.
In this video, I’m sharing a concept called “Circumstances for Optimal Success”. It’s a phrase I coined that describes how you prepare to do and be your best regardless of the situations you find yourself in. I developed this concept while preparing for an experience I had never had before. It was the largest job I had done to date and there was A LOT on the line. Not only was I successful, I was asked to do it all over again at a different location.
Colin Powell said, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. If we want to be successful Entrepreneurs (not just business owners), we should adopt this mindset.
About one-third of small businesses fail within two years.
If you’re like me, you feel like the passion for what you do is unmatched. I’ve been told that I light up and my whole demeanor changes when I start talking about efficiency, effectiveness, and how to achieve harmony between work and personal life. So many people speak to the same audience but I don’t feel the competition.
NO ONE DOES IT LIKE ME!
I know there are people who believe in work-life balance. I used to be one of them…until I became an Entrepreneur!! Yep, this is another mindset that needs adjusting. Is it really possible to achieve a 50-50 split between your family/personal life and your work life?
Anywho….
I think this could be one of the reasons for our overwhelm and stress. To be a credible brand it’s important to recognize the bottleneck happening in our business. Knowing the source of our overwhelm and stress is definitely helpful.
If you haven’t watched my video on The 5 Stages of Entrepreneurship, you should. The stages I’ve created are based on my own entrepreneurial journey. At times I felt like I was such a failure but it was because I was “Boss’n in the wrong stage”. This means I was fishing for clients in the wrong stage of business to appreciate my services. Boy, this was a major bottleneck!!
Could you be in the same boat?
Sometimes you just need a RESET. This has been a Reset month for me, for sure. I had to acknowledge the strain I was under, assess ways to get a different outcome, take the appropriate action, and analyze my efforts. My belief is, there is no such thing as “Work-Life Balance” because we live our lives WHILE working full-time. Everything happens congruently, not linearly. I go into more detail with my thoughts on this subject in a C.E.O. Mindset podcast episode. LISTEN if you’re in need of a RESET. I’ve also made the transition to the RIGHT stage of Boss’n so that’s better too… You may be a business owner, but if you’re ready to become a credible brand start creating circumstances for optimal success.
