A Business Highlight About Baking, Building, and Branding
The Thanksgiving holiday is here and this podcast is all about baking, building and branding with Arlana Brooks. She’s a multifaceted woman who took skills she learned while watching her grandmother bake and parlayed them into a business. This is my last business highlight of the season and what better way to end than with, Arlana’s Gourmet cookies. As a civil engineer, Arlana didn’t have to start a business, but her passion for baking and the multiple requests from friends were the catalyst for the success she’s seeing in her business today.
During this conversation, Arlana is very open about her learning curves. She had to build her business slowly and make better decisions about its branding. I love the story she told about Arlana’s Gourmet Cookies’s beginning. Boy oh boy… thank God for conventions, right!?! It wasn’t until Arlana started getting those convention orders that she realized the viability of turning her baking passion into a baking business. Now she uses her elegant style to create amazing branding via high end packaging.
