If I’m honest, I’ve been habit stacking my whole life without knowing what it was. I just did certain things together… like a package deal.

For example, if you already have a habit of drinking coffee every morning, you can stack a new habit, like reviewing your to-do list, onto that routine. Consistency is another major benefit of habit stacking. Research published in *European Journal of Social Psychology* found that it takes an average of 66 days to form a new habit. By attaching new habits to existing ones, you’re more likely to stick with them long enough for them to become automatic.

According to a report by McKinsey & Company, businesses that prioritize productivity improvements can see profit margins increase by 5 to 10%.
