The situation we find ourselves in is a dyer one. There is social injustice and no denying the inequality in our nation. The only real answer is to deal with the issue we have in front of us. As an African-American woman, I can attest to the racism, social injustice and discrimination that happens to our community. My children have been called “the N-Word” multiple times, I fear for my husband and brother and pray they make it home every day, and I live in a so called affluent neighborhood.
The reality is… social injustice isn’t new and we are where we’ve always been in this country. There are a group of people who feel superior and a group being treated as if they are inferior. In this episode, I’m sharing my two cents on the problem of social injustice and a few ideas to begin a healing process that could change our dynamic as a country by committing to changing who we are as individuals.
MY INTERVIEW WITH LAUREN PALMER:
Lauren is very candid about her epiphany moment and gives us great steps to become a part of a solution instead of a being a bystander contributing to a systemic and social injustice.
