When you challenge yourself, you’re saying “you’re worth it”. You’re giving yourself permission to be the best you you can be. In this Psychology Today article, it lists “5 Benefits of Stepping Outside of Your Comfort Zone”.
A challenge is definitely stepping outside your comfort zone but it’s also an opportunity for introspection and growth. They excite me. Even when the challenge is something I don’t really want to do, I reward myself with each accomplishment because I know I’m making myself better. Some times, treating a challenge like a game is what makes them tolerable…lol!!
